We welcome this Australian piano trio as part of their European tour. Sean Foran’s Trichotomy release their latest album ‘Known-Unknown. They are one of the most exciting trios in contemorporay jazz combining the lyricism of EST and the energy levels of The Bad Plus, whilst finding their own melodic voice.

The Guardian

"These three make the resources of the conventional piano trio go a long way. – 4 stars”

MOJO Magazine

“delightfully detailed ensembles, full of wit and vigour…they bamboozle with tricky time-signatures and intricate themes”

BBC Music Magazine

"this is a genuine trio, with three equally important parts, and they never put a foot or finger wrong" 5 stars!

Playing authentic arrangements of material played by Cannonball Adderley’s Quintet in the 50’s and 60’s. The quintet features Chris Gumbley (Alto), Neil Yates (trumpet), Dan Nicholls (of London's prestigious Loop Collective (piano), Tom Hill (double bass) and Carl Hemmingsley (drums) Audiences have been delighted at the band's reception, due not only to the quality of the music and playing, but also to the emphasis the group places on communicating; snippets of biographical information and wry humour always make for an entertaining show.

Nick Smart piano, Jesse Barrett drums and tabla, Jordan Smart saxophones

A bassless trio. Mammal Hands have a unique take on the classic lineup and also offer a different perspective to the jazz scene. Whilst Saxophonist Jordan Smart explores the amalgamation of John Coltrane, Pharaoh Saunders and DJ culture, his brother, pianist Nick Smart lays down jazz harmonies with attracts of Terry Riley esque minimalism. Drafting in Tabla trained drummer Jesse Barrett, this group has an amazing mix of contemporary styles that offers depth but also true accessibility.
